TCSI members have been busy testing laptop computers during the second semester. The initial pilot included six teachers in each building testing convertible laptops (think a laptop flipping into a tablet) that can wirelessly project to the classroom LDC projector. As the pilot expands into next year, the setup will include a docking station in teachers’ offices and classrooms to preserve access to a hard-wired connection, the full size monitor, keyboard and mouse. Rooms in each building are being identified and will be updated as necessary. We will be reaching out to the teachers in those rooms as schedules are finalized to set times to work with the devices as they become available.
