The new HippoCampus site was launched over the holiday break. If you previously set up a D219-branded HippoCampus site all of your settings will also be enabled in the new environment on that date. If not...take some time to explore the interactive videos and tutorials from NROC, PhET and Khan Academy.
HippoCampus was designed as part of Open Education Resources (OER), a
worldwide effort to improve access to quality education for everyone.
HippoCampus content has been developed by some of the finest colleges
and universities in the world and contributed to the National Repository
of Online Courses (NROC), another MITE project.
The new HippoCampus site features:
· new design
· new content collections (including NROC’s new Algebra 1–An Open Course), and
· a new playlist feature for logged-in users.
Member sites also now include mappings to the Common Core standards, as well as state standards.
The User's Guide will assist you in navigating the new site.
