Tech 2011: A Call for Student Presentations in Springfield

image Give your students the opportunity to show off their efforts and meet with their state legislators and represent their school at the State Capitol in Springfield as part of the annual TECH 2011 event.
TECH 2011 is a not-for-profit initiative supported by a broad range of education and business organizations. Its purpose is two-fold: 1) to raise awareness of the critical role technology plays in preparing students to succeed in today’s world; and 2) to show the need for increased funding for classroom technology.  The TECH 2011 Committee and Illinois Computing Educators (ICE) thanks the General Assembly and our corporate partners for their generous support of this program.
The 2011 event has been scheduled for May 5, 2011, in the State Capitol Building in Springfield. All demonstrations will take place in the afternoon from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 pm. For additional information and a link to the application, check out the Tech 2011 Website or contact Phil Lacey.
